Custom domains for small-business sites

A local business publishes its first site. CustomDomain™ connects the domain it already owns, at whichever provider holds its DNS.

For founders, onboarding product managers and support leads at site builders such as Wix, Squarespace and Jimdo.

Common questions

How does a website builder connect a custom domain?

Your customer types their domain in the widget inside your builder. CustomDomain™ finds the DNS provider, writes the records where it can, shows the exact rows where it cannot, and checks each one.

What if the domain was bought years ago somewhere else?

It does not matter where. The check reads the nameservers and names the DNS provider, and when the registrar and the DNS host differ, it names both.

Can the owner hand the DNS step to someone else?

Yes. The widget can email the exact instructions to whoever manages the domain's DNS, such as an IT person or an agency.

Wix, Squarespace, Jimdo, Cloudflare and other names on this page are trademarks of their owners. CustomDomain™ is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Facts about other products were read from their public pages on October 30, 2026.
