Developer Support Engineer

Support Contract

Diagnose DNS, TLS, and edge issues for integrators

When an integrator's domain will not verify, a certificate will not issue, or traffic is not reaching the edge, you are the person who figures out why and gets them unblocked. This is a contract role for someone who genuinely enjoys debugging DNS and TLS and can explain the fix clearly. You will work directly with the developers who embed us, and you will feed the patterns you see back into the docs and the product so the same ticket does not come back.

What you will do

  • Diagnose connection failures across the whole path: DNS records and propagation, ownership verification, on-demand TLS issuance, and the reverse-proxy edge.
  • Reproduce integrator issues against the REST API, the widget, and the webhook events, and give a clear answer with the actual cause.
  • Use dig, provider dashboards, certificate logs, and our own drift monitoring to tell the difference between a provider problem and a product problem.
  • Write up recurring issues so they become docs and product fixes instead of repeat tickets.
  • Escalate real bugs to engineering with a tight reproduction so they can be fixed fast.

What we are looking for

  • You can read a DNS response and a TLS handshake and reason about what went wrong.
  • You have done technical support or engineering for a developer product and you write clear, calm explanations.
  • You are comfortable with the command line and with API requests, and you can trace a request through a proxy.
  • You are patient with people and precise about root cause.

Bonus

  • You have supported a product that deals with DNS, certificates, or CDNs.
  • You have written troubleshooting docs that measurably cut ticket volume.
  • You have worked across time zones and can help set up coverage that fits a small team.
