Product Designer
Design the console and the embeddable connect widget

This is a contract, portfolio-driven role for a designer who can make a technical flow feel calm and obvious. The connect widget in particular is a hard problem: it runs inside other people's products, it has to explain DNS without scaring anyone, and it has to fit brands that are not ours.
What you will do
- Design the embeddable connect widget end to end: detecting a provider, showing what records will be written, confirming ownership, and reaching a verified, secured domain without confusion.
- Design the console where SaaS teams see their connected domains, verification status, drift alerts, and webhook activity.
- Turn genuinely technical states, such as pending propagation or a certificate issuing, into plain language and honest progress the user believes.
- Build the widget so it adapts to the host product's brand while staying in our warm-stone, plainspoken visual language.
- Design the empty, loading, and error states as carefully as the happy path, because in DNS the error states are where users actually live.
What we are looking for
- A portfolio that shows product work, ideally flows with real technical complexity that you made feel simple.
- Strong interaction and visual design, with real care for typography, spacing, and restraint.
- The ability to design components that theme cleanly, since the widget lives inside other brands.
- You write short, clear interface copy and treat it as part of the design.
Bonus
- You have designed developer tools, dashboards, or onboarding flows.
- You are comfortable in a design system and can hand off components engineers can build directly.
- You have designed something embeddable that ran inside products you did not control.
